Agatha Christie's celebrated mystery The Mousetrap will open March 6 at Rock Island's District Theatre.

Having celebrated 60 years on London’s West End making it the longest running play in recorded history, the District is thrilled be bringing this masterpiece to Rock Island. This classic Agatha Christie mystery unfolds when a group of strangers find themselves stranded in a boarding house during a snowstorm. A murder is committed and everyone is suspect as a policeman investigates the crime and uncovers their hidden secrets. This is an evening of superb intrigue not to be missed from the most celebrated mystery writer in the world. 

Directed by Deb Shippy and designed by Tristan Tapscott, the cast is led by the superb Mike Kelly as Detective Trotter with Christopher Tracy as Christopher Wren. The cast boasts an array of local talent including Kat Martin, Molly McLaughlin, Bryan Woods, Doug Kutzli, Aaron Lord, and the one and only Patti Flaherty as Mrs. Boyle.

The Mousetrap will run March 6 through March 22 with performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm. There will be one Pay What You Can Preview on Thursday, March 5 at 8pm. All tickets are $20 and reservations can be made by emailing Tristan Tapscott
